100 Thieves’ Offseason Overhaul Continues as Head Coach Reapered Gets Dismissed

100 Thieves Parts Ways with Head Coach Reapered

In the latest development of its League of Legends rebuild, 100 Thieves has announced the departure of its longtime head coach, Bok “Reapered” Han-gyu.

Reapered had been with 100 Thieves since the 2021 LCS season, leading the team to its first LCS title and back-to-back World Championship appearances. However, the organization has decided to make a change.

According to a tweet from 100 Thieves Esports, Reapered’s departure comes after three LCS Finals appearances and a Championship title. The organization expressed their gratitude and well wishes for the coach’s future endeavors.

Reapered took to Twitter to express his gratitude for his time with 100 Thieves, thanking the players, fans, staff, and organization.

With extensive coaching experience in North America, including five LCS seasons with Cloud9, Reapered’s next destination remains unknown. The accomplished coach has a track record of success, including multiple championships and being named LCS’ Coach of the Split for four consecutive seasons.

Changes in 100 Thieves’ Front Office and Roster

Earlier in the offseason, 100 Thieves began restructuring its front office and staff by parting ways with general manager Chris “PapaSmithy” Smith. The organization cited different goals and aspirations as the reason for the separation.

Additionally, the 100 Thieves’ starting lineup is expected to see significant changes for the upcoming 2023 season. Reports suggest that the mid-jungle duo of Closer and Abbedagge were given the opportunity to explore other options, while rising talent Busio is likely to take the support position.

In terms of coaching, the only remaining coach on 100 Thieves’ roster is LCS assistant coach Alfonso “Mithy” Rodríguez, whose contract with the organization extends until the end of next season.
