Jojopyun Emerges as Champion of Inaugural Season, Takes Home $12,000 Prize

The Rising Champion: Jojopyun Claims Victory in the League of Legends North American Champion’s Queue

The first split of the 2022 League of Legends North American Champion’s Queue has concluded, and there is one standout winner who will be taking home the impressive $12,000 prize. Jojopyun, the young mid lane star from Evil Geniuses, has emerged as the top performer in a month-long competition filled with top-tier players.

Jojopyun, at just 17 years old, showcased his incredible skills by accumulating 885 LP throughout the contest. He went head-to-head with some of the finest players on an exclusive, West Coast-based server that comprised League professionals and high Elo amateur players. Notably, Jojopyun was one of the only four players on the super server to complete over 200 games, achieving an impressive win rate of 63 percent, according to Oracle’s Elixir.

The official Champion’s Queue website has also provided details about the distribution of the $40,000 prize pool. Only the top 10 players on the server were eligible for a portion of the rewards. The next split of the Champion’s Queue will commence on March 14th and conclude on April 11th. This will be followed by the final split for the spring season, beginning on April 18th and ending on May 23rd.
