CLG considers Kori from MYM as potential jungle candidate

Counter Logic Gaming Looking to Make Roster Changes After Disappointing Finish

Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) is planning to make roster changes following their disappointing finish in the playoffs, according to sources close to the organization. CLG is looking to bench jungler Jake “Xmithie” Puchero due to his lackluster performance this split. The team has extended an offer to former MeetYourMakers mid laner Marcin “Kori” Wolski, who has expressed interest in joining CLG.

Switching Roles: Kori’s Move to the Jungle Position

It may come as a surprise that Kori, known for his mid laner skills, is considering a switch to the jungle position. However, Kori has been actively training in the jungle in preparation for the role change. CLG has experience with role swaps in the past, making this transition less unfamiliar.

Interest in Kori from Multiple Teams

CLG is not the only team interested in Kori. Originally, Kori intended to join Gravity Gaming, but the deal fell through, partly because the team’s coach, Nick “LS” De Cesare, is expected to leave the organization. Kori and LS had previously worked together on Supa Hot Crew. Kori has also faced trouble within the MeetYourMakers organization earlier this year.

MYM Willing to Facilitate Kori’s Transfer

Kori is currently under contract with MeetYourMakers until November 2015. However, after their relegation from the LCS, the team is willing to facilitate a transfer to a new organization for Kori.

“MYM have been fortunate to play in the LCS this year. We have supported some exciting talent, including Kori. We will assist him in his next steps,” says MeetYourMakers CEO Khaled Naim.

CLG is hoping that Kori will provide stability in their jungle position. In the offseason, they replaced their former jungler with Xmithie, but the team struggled in the playoffs, finishing in the top six alongside Gravity Gaming.

Confirmation from CLG is still pending regarding the potential roster change.
