Zirene departs from Riot Games to “explore new ventures”

Aidan “Zirene” Moon Departs Riot Games, Looks Ahead to New Opportunities

Analyst and color caster Aidan “Zirene” Moon has officially left Riot Games. In a tweet on Tuesday, he announced his departure and expressed excitement about exploring new opportunities.

This departure comes as a significant loss for the LCS production crew. Earlier this year, fellow analyst Joshua “Jatt” Leesman revealed that he was leaving the broadcast to join the balance team. While Jatt remained with the company, Zirene has chosen to pursue a different path.

Zirene has been a part of Riot Games since 2014 and officially joined the LCS broadcast in 2015. Throughout his time, he has cast numerous pivotal moments in league history, often alongside Rivington “RivingtonThe3rd” Bisland III.

He was notably absent from the English casting crew for Worlds last year. Riot opted to consolidate its casting format and relocate part of the broadcast to its Los Angeles studio in an effort to reduce costs. However, the exact reason behind Zirene’s departure during the middle of the 2019 Spring Split remains unclear.

Although leaving Riot Games, Zirene plans to continue streaming on his Twitch channel and seek other content creation opportunities. It is currently unknown whether he intends to pursue casting for other games.
