Odoamne and Excel Allegedly Agree Verbally for 2023 LEC Season

Rogue top laner Odoamne reaches verbal agreement with Excel Esports

Odoamne, the top laner for Rogue, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Excel Esports, according to a report from Alejandro Gomis of Blix.gg.

Odoamne played with Rogue for the past two seasons and helped the team win its first LEC title this summer. They were also the only Western participant to advance past the group stage at this year’s World Championship.

In an interview with after the group stage, Odoamne revealed that his organization had not made any attempts to re-sign him during the 2022 season. Last week, it was reported by Gomis that Odoamne would not return to Rogue’s starting lineup in 2023 and it now seems likely that he will be leaving the organization entirely.

However, Excel will not be able to officially sign Odoamne until his contract with Rogue expires on Nov. 21.

Potential for Excel Esports with Odoamne

This season, Excel reached the LEC playoffs for the first time in franchise history, making the postseason bracket in both the Spring and Summer Splits. Adding Odoamne, a reigning LEC champion, to the team could make Excel an immediate contender in the European league, depending on the rest of their offseason moves.
