Schalke 04 Signs Gilius as Main Jungler for 2020 Season
Schalke 04 has finalized its roster for the upcoming season by signing Erberk “Gilius” Demir as the team’s main jungler for 2020. This will be Gilius’s second time playing for Schalke, as he was part of the main roster back in 2016 and 2017.
Gilius’s LEC History
Gilius last played on an LEC roster during the 2018 Spring Split when he was part of Team Vitality’s starting lineup. However, after finishing in fourth place, the team made a change and brought in Mateusz “Kikis” Szkudlarek. Team Vitality then improved and finished third in the Summer Playoffs, losing to Schalke 04 in the semifinals.
Excitement and Concerns
Gilius will join Schalke 04 alongside Konstantinos-Napoleon “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou, who recently returned to professional play after completing mandatory military service in the Greek army. Both players are known for their outspoken nature, which has divided Schalke fans. However, many are still looking forward to seeing how Gilius and FORG1VEN will perform together on and off the Summoner’s Rift.
The Schalke 04 Lineup
Felix “Abbedagge” Braun and Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu will remain in the mid and top lanes, respectively. Han “Dreams” Min-kook, formerly from SK Gaming, will join FORG1VEN in the bottom lane. Be sure to watch all the action when the 2020 Spring Split begins next month.
