Going into this match, G2 Esports was at risk of elimination. They needed a miracle to turn their disappointing performance at Worlds around. Their first challenge was taking on the Korean champions, ROX Tigers.

G2 started off strong by securing an early first blood in the top lane, giving them a small gold advantage. However, they made a mistake in the mid lane, allowing ROX to equalize the game.

After a successful gank by G2 in the mid lane, they gave away a one-for-one trade to ROX, forcing a teleport. Both teams had their tense moments as they tried to gain an advantage. G2 managed to steal a dragon at the 13-minute mark.

ROX took control of the game by capitalizing on the bot-lane, taking two towers, securing kills, and gaining a significant gold lead. Despite G2’s effort to claw back, ROX extended their lead by taking more towers in a team fight in the mid lane.

G2 tried to wait for ROX to make a mistake, but it was ROX who took advantage of G2’s split strategy. They secured more kills and objectives, including Baron, while G2 struggled to make the most of the situation.

ROX pushed into G2’s base, taking down inhibitors and establishing a comfortable lead. In the end, ROX destroyed G2’s last hope by knocking them out of the tournament.
