In-depth Look: Dendi Shares Details on His New Dota 2 Roster

Dendi Discusses New Dota 2 Roster in YouTube Video

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin recently talked about the reasoning behind his new Dota 2 roster in his first YouTube video in over two years. Despite not making it to the DreamLeague Season 13 Major closed qualifiers, Dendi considered their first bootcamp a success.

The Bootcamp Strategy

Dendi’s original idea was for the team to gather at a bootcamp before playing together online. They worked and prepared for the MDL Chengdu Major and immediately participated in the open qualifiers following the event.

Qualified for Top Eight

The team looked promising in the opening rounds of the qualifiers, even defeating an established For The Moon roster. However, they fell short against Modus Unity, finishing just one game away from the Top Eight.

Building the Roster

Dendi focused on signing two former teammates, V-Tune and LeBronDota, before expanding the search for the remaining positions. Eventually, they brought in nongrata and KingR based on positive reviews and the team structure they had in mind.

MR, the team’s current moniker, is being hosted by Team Spirit at their training facility. They will be participating in smaller tournaments to prepare for the ESL One Los Angeles Major qualifiers starting on Feb. 9.
