TOP Esports Climbs LPL Standings
TOP Esports has climbed the standings in the LPL 2022 Spring Split after defeating Bilibili Gaming. They now sit tied for sixth place with Bilibili, improving their record to 7-4.
A Break in the Top Six Dominance
For the first six weeks of the LPL 2022 Spring Split, the top six teams remained untouched at the top of the standings. While there were occasional upsets, it never felt like their positions were in jeopardy.
This changed when TOP Esports, who had a 2-4 record at one point, started winning. Since then, they have steadily climbed the standings and now have a chance to break into the top six.
TOP Esports’ Turnaround
After a loss in game one, TOP Esports turned things around in the next two games against Bilibili Gaming. Wayward’s standout performance on Gwen in game two helped TOP secure a victory, setting up Jackeylove’s Jinx for late-game dominance. In the final game, Knight’s play on Ryze enabled Jackeylove’s Jinx to shine, resulting in a decisive victory.
A Contender on the Rise
With the win against Bilibili Gaming, TOP Esports is now one of the hottest teams in the LPL. They are tied for sixth place and have a real chance of making a deep run in the LPL 2022 Spring Split Playoffs. This opportunity allows them to bypass the initial knockout stages.
Looking ahead, TOP Esports aims to extend their win streak against LNG Esports in the final match of week seven on March 6.
Meanwhile, Bilibili Gaming faces the challenge of maintaining their top six placement against FunPlus Phoenix, who are on a five-series losing streak, on March 4.
