G2 Esports Secures Two Esports Titles in One Night with a Spectacular Double Win

G2 Triumphs in Riot Games’ Esports Competitions

G2 emerged victorious in the grand finals of Riot Games’ esports competitions on July 30. They claimed the Summer Split championship in the League of Legends EMEA Championship and the VALORANT Game Changers EMEA Series 2 tournament.

The matches began at 12pm CT, with the League of Legends team facing EXCEL and the VALORANT Gozen team going against FUT Female. The Gozen team struggled in the VALORANT match but managed to secure a win in overtime.

The League team exhibited incredible resilience and skill during their match against their challengers. Despite constantly escaping risky situations with low health, they successfully shut down their opponents. G2 claimed their 11th LEC title by defeating EXCEL with a decisive 3-0 victory.

G2 Esports’ CEO, Alban Dechelotte, credited the team’s success to their strong mentality and innovative approach. The construction of the new G2 facility and the addition of G2 Performance Coach Ismael Pedraza have elevated the team’s performance. Dechelotte emphasized that winning the LEC title is a validation of their hard work, but their ultimate goal is to qualify for the Worlds.

While the League team celebrated their victory, the Gozen team continued their battle for the Game Changers title against FUT Female. Despite a strong challenge from FUT, the Gozen team emerged as the champions with a 13-3 victory.

The Gozen team has maintained their dominance in the region through a combination of individual talent and teamwork. They now aim to qualify for the Game Changers Champions of 2023 and establish themselves on the international stage.

Both G2 Esports’ teams are considered the best in the EMEA region in their respective games, but they still have a long journey ahead as they strive for global success.
