Copenhagen Wolves recruits Shook as Airwaks departs

Copenhagen Wolves Announces Midseason Roster Swap

The Copenhagen Wolves, a team in the League Championship Series (LCS), has made a midseason roster change. They have decided to bring in Ilyas “Shook” Hartsema to replace Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia as the team’s new jungler.

Reasons behind the Roster Swap

Benghalia left the team due to a “horrible” team atmosphere caused by an incident involving the head coach Karl “Dentist” Krey and Riot Games commentator Martin “Deficio” Lynge. He shared his desire to leave with the team and asked them to find a replacement. Despite these circumstances, Benghalia hopes to return to the scene and wishes his former teammates luck.

Return of Ilyas “Shook” Hartsema

Hartsema had previously played for the Copenhagen Wolves during the 2013 Summer Split, where he helped them win a DreamHack and Gfinity title. Known for his mechanics and playmaking ability, Hartsema brings a new dimension to the struggling Copenhagen Wolves lineup.

Optimism for the Future

According to Jakub Lund Kristensen, the CEO of the Copenhagen Wolves, Hartsema’s return is a welcome addition to the team. He brings both high levels of mechanical skill and experience, which are much needed at this crucial time. Coach Krey also agrees, stating that Hartsema’s addition will aid in controlling the pace of the games and securing important wins in the second half of the split to avoid relegation.

The team currently has a 2-6 record, placing them at the bottom of the table and in danger of relegation. It remains to be seen if Hartsema’s arrival can inspire the team to improve their standings, but a change is definitely needed.
