Riot Games Promises Updates for 2024 Preseason, Jax, and Briar

Riot Games, the developer of the popular game League of Legends, has released a developer update video on July 28, teasing upcoming changes. Players can expect updates for the 2024 preseason, Jax’s visual and audio, and the introduction of a new champion named Briar.

In the video, developers Andrei “Meddler” Van Roon and Jeremy “Brightmoon” Lee shared information about the Essence Emporium, new Wild Rift skins, and the quick play release. They also hinted at future updates that will be revealed later.

2024 Preseason Changes

The 2024 preseason will bring significant changes to the game’s items and item system. Riot Games plans to share more information about these updates in the near future.

Jax’s Visual and Audio Update

Jax, one of the game’s champions, will receive a visual and audio update. Players can already catch a glimpse of his new look, although the exact release date has not been announced yet. The update is expected to arrive sometime this year.

Introducing Briar

Briar, a new champion set to be released later this year, was first unveiled in April 2023’s roadmap post. While not much is known about Briar, except for his association with “uncontrollable hunger,” more details will be revealed in the coming months.

The reveal video for these updates was posted on League of LegendsWeibo account in advance.

Players can also look forward to participating in the Essence Emporium event, which will begin in Patch 13.17 on August 30.
