Schalke’s Remarkable Streak Persists: Defeat SK Gaming in LEC Summer Split Playoffs Opening Round

Schalke 04 Continues Win Streak with Dominant Victory over SK Gaming

Schalke 04 extended their impressive win streak by sweeping SK Gaming in the first round of the LEC Summer Split playoffs. The entire Schalke squad played exceptionally well, with mid laner Abbedagge standing out as the star performer. He showcased his skills on Orianna and Azir, completely dismantling SK in all three games. In the series, Abbedagge boasted an impressive 17/2/16 scoreline, resulting in a remarkable 16.5 KDA.

Abbedagge Shines in Mid Lane

The first game of this League of Legends showdown took an unconventional turn as SK attempted a failed lane swap. However, Schalke’s experienced player Odoamne was well-prepared and quickly capitalized on SK’s poor execution of the tactic. The post-game interview revealed Odoamne’s disappointment in SK’s performance.

SK’s Struggles Continue

In the second game, SK decided to stick to traditional lanes, but they were outclassed by Schalke, particularly in the mid lane where rookie ZaZee struggled to find his footing. With Abbedagge snowballing ahead, SK lost pressure in teamfights and subsequently lost the second game.

Abbedagge’s Heroic Play

In the third and final game, Abbedagge once again showcased his brilliance on Azir. He expertly maneuvered teamfights, consistently getting the upper hand and securing kills. He remained deathless until the end, finishing with an impressive 9/0/4 scoreline. This victory dashed SK’s hopes of qualifying for the World Championship.

Schalke 04 now needs to win one more best-of-five series to secure a spot at Worlds 2020. Their exceptional performance in this season’s end has made them a force to be reckoned with, boasting a 10-game win streak. They face the loser of G2 Esports vs. MAD Lions in their next playoff match.
