The updated Guinsoo’s Rageblade wreaks havoc on Jhin

Jhinsoo’s Rageblade: The Broken Item on Jhin

Guinsoo’s Rageblade got reworked in the latest patch. Although it was designed to be an attack speed item, it turns out that it’s incredibly powerful on Jhin, who doesn’t typically rely on attack speed.

Jhin’s passive ability converts all attack speed into additional attack damage. This is where things get crazy. With the new Guinsoo’s, Jhin’s attack damage can reach absurd levels, averaging between 1,200 and 1,300 in a game. It’s even earned the nickname “Jhinsoo’s Rageblade.”

So, how does Jhin’s attack damage reach such high peaks? It’s because of the Rageblade’s new scaling feature. The item now scales the on-hit damage with bonus attack damage. Each stack of the item also provides additional bonus attack damage and attack speed. On top of that, the item itself grants 25 flat attack damage and 25% attack speed. This all adds up to massive boosts in Jhin’s attack damage.

Each stack of the item boosts Jhin’s attack damage twice. The bonus attack damage percentage boost is applied, and then the attack speed from the stack is converted to additional attack damage through his passive ability. With a maximum of six stacks, that’s a total of 14 boosts to his attack damage. This can crank his attack damage up to around 1,300 in the late game.

But that’s not all. The item’s on-hit damage also scales with bonus attack damage. So while Jhin’s attack damage is getting boosted over and over again, so is the item’s on-hit damage.

Imagine Jhin firing his fourth shot with 1,300 attack damage and additional on-hit damage that has been boosted 14 times. Furthermore, the Guinsoo’s Rageblade allows the fourth shot to trigger the on-hit damage twice. The damage output is absolutely terrifying.

In our test runs, we were dealing over 3,500 damage with Jhin’s fourth shot. Regular attacks were also extremely powerful, though not quite as high. If you want an easy win in solo queue, lock in Jhin before this item gets hotfixed. And if Jhin is not on your team, make sure to ban him. He’s currently the most frightening champion in the game.
