Liquid claims victory over EG in CoreJJ’s debut in the 2022 LCS regular season

Team Liquid Defeats Evil Geniuses in LCS Match

In a highly anticipated rematch of the LCS Lock In Finals, Team Liquid emerged victorious against Evil Geniuses in the regular season. The game lasted just 27 minutes, with Liquid dominating their opponents.

CoreJJ’s Return Makes a Difference for Team Liquid

In their previous best-of-five matchup, Liquid secured a sweep against Evil Geniuses. However, the addition of CoreJJ, a two-time LCS MVP, to Liquid’s starting lineup in today’s game played a crucial role in their success.

Due to import restrictions, CoreJJ was initially unable to play alongside Liquid’s other imported stars. However, after receiving his U.S. Permanent Resident Card, he gained Resident status in the LCS, allowing him to join the team in the regular season.

Outstanding Performance by CoreJJ and Hans Sama

In today’s contest, CoreJJ showcased his skills by contributing to 85 percent of Team Liquid’s kills. Alongside him, AD carry Hans Sama delivered a strong performance, accounting for over 30 percent of Liquid’s total damage.

Impressive Win Streak for Team Liquid

With this win, Team Liquid extended their winning streak to four games, solidifying their position as a top-performing team. On the other hand, Evil Geniuses fell below a .500 win-loss ratio for the first time this season.

Looking ahead, Evil Geniuses will aim to balance their week with a game against Immortals, while Team Liquid will finish off the week with a match against the winless CLG.
