Challenging the Odds: Odoamne’s Reflection on LEC Triumph and an Uncertain Future with Rogue

Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu Finally Wins LEC Trophy After a Decade of Professional Play

After nearly 10 years of professional play in League of Legends, Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu has finally won a trophy of his own. Despite consistently reaching playoffs and qualifying for the World Championship, Odoamne had never tasted victory until this year.

Returning to Rogue for his second year, Odoamne led the team through a season of uncertainty. However, Rogue exceeded expectations by finishing first in the LEC Spring Split. Odoamne achieved an impressive 6.42 KDA, second only to two of his teammates and Fnatic’s ADC, Upset. Unfortunately, Rogue was swept in the playoffs finals.

Throughout the LEC Summer Split, fans were focused on G2 Esports, the Spring champions, and Fnatic, a team on the brink of missing playoffs for the first time. However, Rogue emerged as the champions of the Summer Playoffs, securing the first seed for the LEC in the 2022 World Championship.

For Odoamne, winning the LEC trophy marked the end of a nearly decade-long journey. However, with Worlds approaching, he didn’t have time to fully appreciate the moment. He hopes to finally savor the victory during some time off.

Rogue had a strong performance in the group stage of Worlds. They emerged undefeated against LCK’s DRX and LPL’s Top Esports in the first round robin. However, they faltered in the second round robin, winning only one game. Controversy surrounded Rogue after a bug was discovered that could have changed the group’s outcome.

Despite a disappointing quarterfinals exit against JDG, Rogue became the only Western team to reach that stage. Odoamne and his teammates felt that they didn’t meet the expectations that come with being the LEC’s first seed.

Odoamne believes that the Western regions, including the LCS and LEC, are held back by structural differences. The LCK and LPL play significantly more games throughout the year, which Odoamne finds ridiculous. He hopes that changes will be made in the future to give Western teams a better chance internationally.

Rogue recently announced a partnership with ERL team KOI for the upcoming LEC Spring Split. This partnership will bring the team’s name and players under joint leadership. Odoamne’s future with Rogue is uncertain, but he plans to continue his professional career in the LEC.

Regardless of where he ends up, Odoamne’s thirst for winning has not been quenched. With a year of defying expectations and an LEC trophy in his hands, he will be a player to watch next year.

has reached out to Rogue for comment on Odoamne’s contract, but they have yet to comment at the time of publishing.
