Leaked League roadmap unveils Riot’s plans for Mundo rework and new champions

Riot’s Exciting Plans for 2021

Riot has unveiled some exciting plans for League of Legends in 2021. A leaked champion roadmap that was meant to be released on April 30 has given fans a sneak peek into what the developers have in store for the next eight months.

The roadmap, which Riot confirmed as authentic, reveals details about the highly-anticipated Dr. Mundo rework, as well as two new champions: a Sentinel of Light champ and a Yordle champ.

Dr. Mundo Rework and Visual Update

According to Riot, the upcoming Dr. Mundo rework will not only feature gameplay changes, but also a new voice over. The developers aim to make Dr. Mundo sound slightly more intelligent while retaining his dark and silly personality. The rework will also include redesigns for many of his skins.

A New Sentinel of Light Champ

Joining Lucian and Senna on Summoner’s Rift will be a new Sentinel of Light champ. This champion, described as a “non-traditional mid laner marksman,” is specifically designed for the role in a unique way. Riot acknowledges the abundance of mid lane champs released recently, but promise that this one will stand out.

A Delayed Yordle Champ

The roadmap reveals that a new Yordle champ has been delayed due to Riot exploring new technology for her abilities. This gloomy Yordle, originally planned as an artillery mage, has been redesigned as a traditional mage. She will also play a significant role in the Ruination storyline.

It’s important to note that all of the information provided in the leaked roadmap is tentative and subject to change. The official English-language roadmap will be released on April 30.
