Riot unveils complete 2023 LCS Championship schedule

The 2023 LCS Summer Split is nearing its end, with several North American League of Legends teams vying for the top spot in the regular season standings. Riot Games has announced the schedule for the upcoming LCS Championship, which will mark the beginning of the postseason.

The playoffs will start on Thursday, July 27, with the third and sixth seeds competing in a best-of-five series. The fourth and fifth seeds will then face each other the following day. After a week, the seventh seed will play against the loser of the first match, while the loser of the second match will take on the eighth seed in the lower bracket.

Supporters will have to wait until August 5 and 6 to see the top two seeds in action. During these days, they will take on the winners of the first two matches of the postseason. This means that the first and second seeds will have two weeks to rest and prepare for their opponents, while the others will be playing almost non-stop since the end of the regular season.

The rest of the playoff bracket will commence on Thursday, August 10. The final showdown between the winner of the upper bracket and the lower bracket will take place on Sunday, August 20 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, to determine the new champion of the LCS.

The top three LCS teams will qualify for the 2023 World Championship in South Korea, while the fourth-best team will have to compete against the fourth-best team from Europe for a chance to enter the play-in stage.
