CoreJJ acquires green card as per Riot’s Global Contract Database

Team Liquid’s CoreJJ Becomes Resident of North America

Team Liquid fans and the League of Legends community can finally rejoice as CoreJJ, the superstar support player, has obtained his green card and is now officially a resident of North America, according to Riot Games’ official Global Contract Database.

A Superteam’s Conundrum

Earlier this season, there were concerns about how Team Liquid would manage a roster filled with international stars without breaking the league’s import rules. With Bwipo and Hans Sama joining the LCS for the first time and CoreJJ already on Liquid, it was necessary for one of them to become a resident of North America to maintain a balanced lineup.

Struggles and Adaptations

CoreJJ made attempts to secure his green card before the start of the 2022 season. However, due to delays, Liquid had to experiment with different player combinations during the 2022 Lock In tournament. The team even started the Spring Split with Academy support player Eyla for the first two weeks.

Looking Ahead

Now that CoreJJ is back in the lineup, Team Liquid will field a star-studded roster against Evil Geniuses and CLG. Fans have exciting developments to look forward to, such as the performance of CoreJJ and Hans Sama on the competitive stage for the first time. Additionally, observing how this talented team communicates and strategizes will be intriguing for esports enthusiasts.

The LCS Spring Split resumes on Saturday, Feb. 19, providing an opportunity for fans to witness the juggernauts of Team Liquid in action.
