Keith transitions to support position for Golden Guardians in 2020 LCS season

Golden Guardians Promotes Keith to LCS Lineup as Support for 2020 League of Legends Season

Golden Guardians has announced that Yuri “Keith” Jew, formerly an AD carry in the LCS, will be transitioning to the support role for the upcoming 2020 League of Legends season. Keith, who joined GGS Academy in July after being traded by Cloud9, helped secure a second-place finish in the NA Academy Summer playoffs. This move comes after Keith played on the LCS stage with Cloud9 in 2018 during an infamous benching of their main bot lane players, Sneaky and Smoothie, in favor of the Academy duo.

While role swapping can be challenging, many experienced supports like Aphromoo and CoreJJ have successfully made the transition from AD carry. GGS has also made similar swaps in the past, including moving Huhi from mid lane to support in the previous season.

GGS Continues to Strengthen Roster with New Signings

In addition to Keith’s role swap, the Golden Guardians have made further additions to their roster to prepare for the upcoming season. They have recently welcomed Turkish jungler Can “Closer” Çelik, who previously played for Royal Youth and was the MVP of the 2019 TCL Summer playoffs. They have also signed Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer, a former mid laner for Cloud9.

With these changes, the Golden Guardians are looking to build a strong and competitive roster for the 2020 League of Legends season.
