TSM officially adds Dardoch to LCS roster for 2020 season

TSM Welcomes Jungler Dardoch for 2020 Season

Jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett has joined TSM for the upcoming season of League of Legends, the team confirmed today.

Dardoch previously played for OpTic Gaming before the team rebranded to Immortals at the end of the 2019 season. During the Spring Split, he shared the starting position with William “Meteos” Hartman and split time between the LCS team and its academy counterpart. Eventually, he played full-time for the academy team in the summer season.

In the previous season, TSM rotated through junglers, starting with Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham in the spring. They finished third in the regular split and came in second after losing to Team Liquid in the Spring Split playoffs. Despite their success with Akaadian, the team decided to alternate between him and Jonathan “Grig” Armao in the Summer Split.

What shocked TSM fans the most was when the team chose to start rookie Mingyi “Spica” Lu in the Summer Split playoffs. Spica had played only two games with the team in the final week of the regular season. Additionally, TSM took a risk by not having a substitute for the rookie, even with a spot at Worlds on the line.

For the second year in a row, TSM failed to secure a domestic title or a spot at Worlds by the end of the season. The team made changes to their jungle and bot lane roles, while keeping their veteran mid laner, Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, much to the relief of TSM fans. Bjergsen signed a two-year contract extension and became a part owner of the team as part of the deal.

The LCS team parted ways with Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, who joined Cloud9, and is reportedly in talks to sign former Splyce AD carry Kasper “Kobbe” Kobberu, as reported by ESPN’s Jacob Wolf. Additionally, the team welcomed back support Vincent “Biofrost” Wang from CLG in exchange for Andy “Smoothie” Ta last week.
