KINGZONE DragonX Crowned LCK Spring Split Champions

KINGZONE DragonX emerged victorious against Afreeca Freecs in the Busan final to claim the LCK Spring Split championship title. As the favorites for the match, KINGZONE showcased their dominance and strategic prowess, securing their second championship title.

After a three-week break, KINGZONE made a successful comeback, surprising fans with their special pick: Kai’Sa. This newest champion in League of Legends had already made appearances in the LCK playoffs and it was now Kim “PraY” Jong-in’s turn to showcase his skills with Kai’Sa. PraY delivered an exceptional performance, living up to the hype surrounding the champion.

A Tense Battle

Despite KINGZONE’s initial setbacks and mistakes, Afreeca took advantage of the situation to gain control over turrets, objectives, and kills. While PraY’s Kai’Sa displayed immense power in a fight at the Baron pit, Afreeca regrouped and closed out game one.

KINGZONE’s Comeback

Undeterred by their loss, KINGZONE demonstrated resilience and confidence in the following three games. Led by PraY, they showcased their teamfighting abilities and knack for finding picks. Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong’s Taliyah and PraY’s Kai’Sa played crucial roles in securing victories for KINGZONE.

Looking Ahead

With their second consecutive LCK title secured, KINGZONE has set their sights on the Mid Season Invitational. As the first team other than SKT to represent Korea at MSI, they are determined to claim their first international title. The MSI play-in stage begins on May 3.
