League of Legends Worlds 2023: Dates, Venues, and Qualifying Teams

The League of Legends World Championship, also known as Worlds, is one of the biggest esports tournaments globally. Fans from around the world gather to watch the best League teams compete for the Summoner’s Cup.

In 2022, DRX emerged victorious in a thrilling final against T1. Now, Riot Games has announced the dates, venues, and qualifying teams for Worlds 2023.

Dates and Venues

Riot Games revealed that Worlds 2023 will return to South Korea. The tournament will be held in various cities, including Seoul and Busan.

Here is the schedule for each stage of Worlds 2023:

  • Play-Ins: Oct. 10 — Oct. 15 at LoL Park in Seoul, South Korea.
  • Group Swiss Stage: Oct. 19-23 and Oct. 26-29 at the KBS Arena in Seoul, South Korea.
  • Quarterfinals: Nov. 2-5 at the Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan, South Korea.
  • Semifinals: Nov. 11-12 in the Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan, South Korea.
  • Finals: Nov. 19 in the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea.

With the Gocheok Sky Dome hosting the grand final, Worlds 2023 promises to be an extraordinary event in the largest indoor venue in South Korea.

Ticket Sales

Tickets for Worlds 2023 are now available for purchase through Global Interpark. The sales will be conducted in three waves, with each wave corresponding to a specific stage of the tournament:

  • Play-In Stage: Tickets available starting July 10.
  • Swiss Stage: Tickets available starting July 19.
  • Knockouts (quarterfinal, semifinal, and grand final): Tickets available starting Aug. 2.

Interested buyers are advised to make their purchases through the Global Interpark portal on desktop. Each person is allowed a maximum of two tickets per session.

If you’re unable to attend Worlds 2023 in person, you can watch the matches live on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.

Qualifying Teams

A total of 22 teams will compete in Worlds 2023. The qualifying teams will come from various international leagues, and no teams have secured their spots yet. Stay tuned for updates on the teams participating in Worlds 2023.
