League of Legends Worlds 2022: Increased Drop Rate for Sponsored Chromas During Knockout Stage
If you’ve been watching the 2022 League of Legends World Championship and want to get your hands on the new sponsored chromas from Tiffany & Co., you’re in luck. The drop rate for these chromas is set to increase soon.
As the tournament progresses from the group stage to the knockout stage, fans of League will have fewer opportunities to obtain the “hyper-rare” chromas for Crystal Rose Zyra, Swain, and Akshan.
A Riot team member working on League esports drops clarified on Reddit that the process for obtaining these rare chromas will be streamlined during the knockout stage of Worlds.
“When we announced the drops, we mentioned that we would distribute codes,” said Riot 5oda. “But it didn’t feel great, so we worked together internally to make it possible for you to get these chromas even if you don’t own the skin or the champion.”
Going forward, players will be able to earn the Tiffany & Co. Crystal Rose chromas without any restrictions. You won’t need to own Zyra, Swain, Akshan, or their corresponding Crystal Rose skin to have a chance at earning the rare chroma while watching Worlds.
The knockout stage of Worlds begins on Thursday, Oct. 20, and will run until Nov. 5. Remember, the Tiffany Crystal Rose chromas will only be available through Worlds drops during the tournament.
