Jensen Expresses Hope for Mage Buffs by Playoffs to Improve His Winning Chances

Jensen Leads Dignitas to Victory in LCS Summer Split

Dignitas secured a much-needed win against FlyQuest in the LCS Summer Split, with mid laner Jensen making a powerful statement. It was the first time in over a year that Jensen won a game using a champion outside the mage category. This victory not only broke his unique streak but also helped Dignitas climb up the LCS playoff standings.

Diverse Meta Allows for New Strategies

In a post-game interview, Jensen commented on the current meta, stating that it offers a lot of flexibility. He also mentioned the weaker state of mages and expressed the hope that Riot Games would buff them for the playoffs.

Jensen’s Success with Mages

Throughout his nearly decade-long career, Jensen has excelled at playing mage champions like Azir, Syndra, LeBlanc, and Ryze. Among his most-played champions, Jensen has achieved outstanding results with Orianna, boasting a 73.4% win rate and a 7.1 KDA across 94 games, as reported by League stats site Games of Legends.

Dignitas’ Reliance on Jensen’s Mage Performance

During this Summer Split, five out of Dignitas’ six wins were secured when Jensen played mages. While the team has also experienced losses with him on mage champions, it is evident that they have a higher chance of success when Jensen plays his main champions.

The Road to Playoffs

Dignitas currently holds a 6-6 record with six games remaining in the Split. Even if they slide a bit over the final weeks, they are likely to secure a spot in the playoffs. Unlike the Spring Split, where only six teams qualified, the Summer Split playoffs feature an eight-team bracket. This means that Dignitas would need to lose more than half of their remaining games to be in danger of falling to ninth place.

Crucial Matches Await Dignitas

Next week, Dignitas will face tough opponents, TSM and NRG, who are closely behind them in the playoff standings.

Jensen remains optimistic, stating that the team is focused on being versatile during the regular season and plans to adapt for the playoffs.
