Expanded options for player feedback in a new Dota 2 postgame survey

**Valve Introduces Postgame Survey for Dota 2 to Improve Matchmaking**

Valve is taking steps to enhance the matchmaking experience in Dota 2 with the introduction of a postgame survey. This survey allows players to provide feedback on specific aspects of their recently completed matches.

The postgame survey presents players with 12 options to choose from, allowing them to select a single aspect that either positively or negatively impacted their gameplay experience. This prevents spamming and enables Valve to analyze the data more effectively when identifying areas for improvement.

The feedback menu includes options such as good team coordination, close game, friendly teammates, and good hero choices, as well as negative factors like poor team coordination, game being a stomp, toxic behavior, and bad draft. However, some players find the options “We Made A Comeback” and “Smurf In The Game” confusing, as these two choices don’t seem correlated.

This new feature provides Valve with valuable matchmaking data but does not currently affect behavior scores or other player-related factors. However, over time, this may change. The postgame survey encourages players to reflect on their overall match experience, reducing the likelihood of reporting incidents related to poor teammate interactions.

The postgame survey is now live for most users and is expected to be available to all players by the end of the week.
