Doublelift discloses who he treated kindly between Yellowstar and Olleh

Doublelift Reflects on his Time with YellOwStaR and Olleh

Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, known as one of the greatest AD carries in North American League of Legends history, recently took a moment to look back on his experiences with two of his previous supports: Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim and Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung.

During a recent stream, Doublelift shared his thoughts on his relationships with both YellOwStaR and Olleh, shedding light on their performance together. Reflecting on his time with YellOwStaR, Doublelift admitted that he had reached a point of frustration and had given up on the support player. However, when it came to Olleh, Doublelift emphasized that he had never given up on him, choosing to believe in his potential.

The Challenges with YellOwStaR

While speaking about YellOwStaR, Doublelift recalled how the support player faced difficulties when he joined TSM in December 2015. YellOwStaR struggled to adapt to the North American scene and eventually returned to Europe to rejoin Fnatic after just one season with TSM. Doublelift even mentioned how he had to take on the “Kalista duty,” a role that required him to bail out his struggling support in tough situations, all for the sake of the team.

Ongoing Struggles with Olleh

As for Olleh, Doublelift highlighted the fact that they were able to achieve success together as they won the 2018 Spring and Summer Split championships with Team Liquid. However, Olleh faced his fair share of challenges, which ultimately led to his replacement by world champion support Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in. Despite their accomplishments, the decision to part ways with Olleh was made to further elevate the team’s performance.

Overall, Doublelift’s reflections on his time with YellOwStaR and Olleh provide insights into the dynamics and challenges faced by professional players in the League of Legends esports scene. Despite the criticisms and struggles, these experiences have played a significant role in shaping both Doublelift’s career and the teams he has been a part of.
