Rekkles reveals loss of trust among Fnatic players following 2020 Spring Finals defeat

Fnatic’s Rekkles Opens Up About Trust Issues Holding Back the Team

Fnatic’s star AD carry Martin “Rekkles” Larsson recently discussed the team’s struggle to find their true identity due to persistent trust issues. In a pre-game interview, Rekkles admitted that the lack of trust among the players has hindered their performance throughout the summer.

“I don’t believe that having multiple strong voices on a team is the issue,” Rekkles stated. “I’ve been on teams with stronger voices before, so I don’t think that’s the problem. The main concern is the lack of trust between the players.”

According to Rekkles, a successful team relies on every member being willing to take on any role and carry the game, regardless of the position they play. Trust in teammates’ abilities is crucial for victory, but unfortunately, this trust has not been established within Fnatic.

These trust issues stem from the team’s significant defeat against G2 Esports in the 2020 LEC Spring Finals, as revealed by Rekkles. He also mentioned that many players had a desire to be the main carry at the same time, causing them to inadvertently impede each other’s growth.

“We need to find a common ground that everyone is comfortable with,” Rekkles emphasized. “The specifics don’t matter as long as everyone agrees on the same approach. Unfortunately, we lost that unity after our devastating defeat in the finals.”

Rough Season for Fnatic as Playoffs Spot Remains Uncertain

This season has been challenging for Fnatic and their fans. Despite a recent victory against Excel Esports, the team still hasn’t secured a playoffs spot. In their upcoming game, Fnatic will face SK Gaming, who are entering the match with a dominant win over Origen.

Stay tuned for Fnatic’s final game of the 2020 Summer Split tomorrow at 2pm CT.
