T1 and Clid mutually separate

T1 Parts Ways with Star Jungler Clid

T1 recently announced that jungler Kim “Clid” Tae-min will be leaving their League of Legends team.

Despite T1 allowing coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun, top laner Kim “Khan” Dong-ha, and Clid to explore free agency, it was expected that Clid would re-sign with the team. He played a crucial role in T1’s success this year, leading his teammates to a first-place finish in the LCK summer season.

Despite the team’s overall underperformance at Worlds, Clid showcased impressive skill. He dominated the top side of the jungle and applied pressure through ganks, giving T1 an advantage in the group stage against both Fnatic’s Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen and Royal Never Give Up’s Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan.

T1 then defeated Splyce in the quarterfinals before facing G2 Esports in the semifinals. Although G2 proved to be the superior team, winning the four-game series, Clid’s performance was commendable. He consistently outperformed rival Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski in the jungle, giving Khan the upper hand in the top lane.

It remains uncertain which team Clid will join next. However, the lure of a lucrative contract in the LPL makes him an ideal candidate for former world champions, Invictus Gaming. Alternatively, he may choose to stay closer to home with teams like KT Rolster, alongside AD carry Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, or Gen.G.
