4 out of the 5 most-selected mid lane champions in LoL are currently facing difficulties in winning matches.

League of Legends Mid Lane Champions Struggle to Maintain Win Rates

League of Legends players seem to have a hard time letting go, as four out of the five most-picked champions in the mid lane are currently underperforming this season.

According to the mid lane stats from League Patch 13.13, provided by stats tracking site U.GG, champions like Yasuo, Zed, Katarina, and Yone may be popular choices, but their win rates are struggling to surpass the 50 percent mark.

So, why are players still picking these champions, despite their difficulty to play and average performance?

One reason is the sheer excitement and enjoyment players experience while playing these champions, regardless of the outcome. Their unique playstyle and ability to outmaneuver opponents make them a favored choice among many League players.

However, the current metagame is not in favor of these champions. Patch 13.10 introduced item changes that could potentially further diminish the effectiveness of Yasuo, Zed, Katarina, and Yone, although this is not yet confirmed.

In Season 13, the dominance of attack damage champions is gradually decreasing, with spellcasters like Ahri, Fizz, Veigar, and Malzahar starting to rise in popularity and achieving better win rates.

Perhaps it’s time for League players to temporarily set aside these four AD champions and wait for Riot to address their viability in future updates.
