Fans Rejoice

Many fans were worried that Faker would leave T1 after the disappointing outcome at Worlds 2019. However, the star mid laner has chosen to stay loyal to the team that picked him up in 2013, leading them to win their first World Championship later that year.

T1’s Success

T1 had a decent 2019 season. Despite finishing fourth in the LCK Summer Split with an 11-7 record, they emerged victorious over Griffin in the finals. T1 also secured victory over Griffin in the Spring Split finals and won the gold at Rift Rivals 2019.

At Worlds, Faker performed exceptionally well, showcasing his skill on champions like Ryze and Tristana with an impressive 3.76 KDA. Unfortunately, T1 was defeated by G2 Esports in the most-watched esports match of all time.

The Future of Teammates

The future of Kim “Khan” Dong-ha, Kim “Clid” Taemin, and coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun is uncertain as they explore free agency. However, Faker’s decision to stay with T1 sets a positive tone for a potential T1 2020 World Championship campaign.
