G2 Targamas reflects on his League career: 'No Regrets, I'm at My Best'

Professional League of Legends is experiencing an influx of young talent, with up-and-coming players making a name for themselves in the competitive scene. These young stars are not only competing with veterans but also surpassing them in terms of skill and performance, marking a new era in the esports world.

G2 Esports, one of the top teams in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), recently introduced a new support player, Raphaël “Targamas” Crabbé. Despite being only 22 years old, Targamas has been playing professionally for almost seven years in various European leagues. After a brief break from esports, he returned to the LEC and proved his worth alongside the experienced G2 Esports roster.

Targamas expressed his eagerness to achieve more in the competitive scene, stating that there will always be new goals to pursue. His addition to G2 Esports has brought a fresh perspective and determination to the team.

In the 2022 Spring Split, Targamas showcased his skills and playstyle, standing out among the best support players in the LEC. Alongside rookie ADC Flakked, he helped lead G2 to a playoffs victory, setting the stage for a successful Summer Split where he achieved an impressive 7.16 KDA, the highest among all players in the split.

Targamas had the opportunity to represent the LEC at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) earlier this year, where G2 performed exceptionally well. Despite lacking international experience, Targamas and his team demonstrated their capabilities by defeating top teams and ending the tournament in third place.

Now, at the League of Legends World Championship, Targamas remains confident in his abilities and the strength of the LEC teams. He believes that the success achieved in the LEC will translate to international competitions, showcasing the region’s history of strong bot lanes.

Although G2 faced a tough opponent, JDG, in their Worlds match, Targamas and his teammate Flakked proved their dominance in teamfights. Despite the loss, Targamas maintains his optimism and determination to push G2 to their full potential in the tournament.

Targamas reflects on his journey in competitive League of Legends and acknowledges the sacrifices he has made to pursue his passion. With no regrets, he dedicates himself to the game, constantly striving to improve and reach new heights.

G2 will continue their Worlds journey in Group B’s second round-robin against formidable teams such as JDG, DWG KIA, and Evil Geniuses. Despite the challenges ahead, G2 has proven their ability to compete at the highest level and are determined to make their mark on the tournament.
