Team Secret to Skip First Dota 2 Major of the Season, No Plans for Roster Adjustments

Team Secret Takes Break from Dota Pro Circuit Major

Team Secret, one of the top-tier teams in Dota 2, has announced that they will be taking a break from the first major tournament of the season. Despite rumors of a roster change, the team will remain unchanged for now.

The decision to take a break was influenced by the length of the season and the impact of fatigue. Team Secret believes that this break will allow them to start the Dota Pro Circuit fresh.

In a recent Twitter post, the team reflected on the 2018-19 Dota 2 season and their plans moving forward. They have no changes to announce at the moment, leading to speculation about their future plans. However, for now, Team Secret will keep their roster from The International 2019.

Although Team Secret had success in the 2018-2019 Dota Pro Circuit, winning the Chongqing and MDL Disneyland Majors, their run at TI9 fell short of their own expectations. Despite this, they achieved their highest placing at TI, finishing in fourth place.

While the team takes a break, captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov is competing in the Midas Mode 2.0 tournament with his former team, Natus Vincere. Fans can watch Puppey and the legendary Na’Vi roster battle against other esteemed teams such as OG, TI3 Alliance, and Sir Sadim’s Stunners.

Although Team Secret won’t be participating in the Chengdu Major in China, they will be heading to Singapore in December for the inaugural ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational. This tournament, organized by ONE Esports, features top teams like PSG.LGD, Virtus Pro, and Evil Geniuses, with a prize pool of $500,000.

So, while Team Secret takes a break from competitive play, fans can still catch the action from their captain and look forward to their participation in future tournaments.
