Samsung Galaxy receives penalty for a second deliberate disconnection

Samsung Gaming Penalized for Intentional Disconnection in League of Legends Match

Riot Games announced today that Samsung Gaming will be given a caution for intentionally disconnecting during their game against Longzhu Gaming. This resulted in them losing a set point in the standings.

The rule regarding intentional disconnections can be found in the League of Legends ruleset. According to Riot, any actions by a player that lead to a disconnection, regardless of their intent, will be deemed intentional.

This is the second time this season that Samsung has intentionally disconnected during a game, both times involving Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk.

Due to the previous intentional disconnect by Ruler in January, Samsung has already received a caution. As a result, they lost a set point in the standings. Currently, Samsung sits in third place in the LCK with a record of 8-4.

There has been no statement from Samsung Galaxy following this decision.
