New League of Legends Champion Naafiri causes a frenzy with its chilling debut

The Upcoming League of Legends Assassin is Almost Here

Riot Games has released a thrilling trailer to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated League of Legends assassin, Naafiri. This new champion has already generated excitement among players.

On June 21, Riot teased Naafiri’s release with a captivating cinematic that will send shivers down your spine. While avoiding spoilers, the trailer offers glimpses of Naafiri’s silhouette, but the true stars are her ferocious hounds and their relentless hunting instincts.

Following the trailer’s release, fans flocked to League’s subreddit to discuss Easter eggs and share their enthusiasm for this impressive Darkin assassin.

“I’m blown away! This looks amazing. I can’t believe previous monsters were like Lillia and Yuumi,” one player exclaimed.

Just before Naafiri’s full reveal and testing phase on the PBE servers, the League community speculated on her abilities.

“I’m hyped! I think her pack mechanic will involve finding enemies, sending out her pack to reveal them and applying crowd control or slow effects. She also seems to merge with them,” a player theorized.

Naafiri will introduce a unique assassin mechanic that has not been seen in League before. Riot promises that this mechanic will make her gameplay feel more dynamic and seamless. It is safe to assume that this mechanic will involve her pack of hounds following her every move.

Personally, I am excited to see Naafiri merge with her hounds. While she lives for the hunt, the most intriguing part of the trailer was her statement that even the victim has a choice—to flee or make a final stand. Hopefully, this will impact her gameplay and how her enemies interact with her.

Although the exact release date of Naafiri is yet to be announced, it is expected to be soon. Champion cinematics and reveals usually follow shortly after each other.
