Fnatic’s LEC 2022 Journey Starts with a Challenging 0-2 Week against G2

Fnatic Suffers First 0-2 Week in 2022 LEC Spring Split

Fnatic, one of the top organizations in the LEC, experienced their first 0-2 week in the 2022 Spring Split. This defeat came at the hands of their regional rivals, G2 Esports, who secured their first 2-0 week as well. Both teams are currently tied for second place in the season standings.

G2’s Strong Start

At the start of the game, G2’s support player, Targamas, was able to find a pick on Fnatic’s jungler, Razork, near the dragon pit. However, Fnatic quickly responded with a kill on G2’s Jankos, evening out the game.

Fnatic’s Siege and G2’s Counterplay

During a Fnatic siege on the top lane inner turret, G2 managed to find picks on Wunder and Humanoid, while attempting to secure an early Baron. Despite this, Fnatic held off G2’s objective play.

With the Baron still up, both teams fought for vision control around the Baron pit. In the mid lane stalemate, G2 saved their top laner from Fnatic’s attempt at a pick and eliminated Fnatic’s support, winning the team fight and securing Baron. This gave G2 a significant advantage for the first time in the game.

G2’s Domination and Fnatic’s Struggle

After securing Baron, G2 took control of the map, forcing Fnatic to spend their time clearing lanes. Fnatic managed to secure the Baron, but G2 won the subsequent fight, wiping out the entire Fnatic team. This led to G2’s victory after a 37-minute battle against their long-time rivals.

The Impact of One Key Fight

This game between two legendary organizations in the LEC remained close throughout, but it was ultimately decided by a crucial fight for the Baron.

G2’s Momentum and Fnatic’s Recovery

With their two wins this week, G2 now finds themselves tied for second place with Fnatic. Meanwhile, Fnatic will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 0-2 week in the Spring Split. In the upcoming week, G2 will try to build on their success by ending Rogue’s seven-game win streak.

As for Fnatic, their focus in week four will be regaining their dominance after their worst week of the Spring Split. They will be facing MAD Lions and Team BDS.

The fourth week of the 2022 LEC Spring Split starts on Friday, Feb. 4.
