Uzi’s Outstanding Performance Leads EDG to Victory in LPL Comeback

Uzi Returns in Style to League of Legends

League of Legends fans are thrilled to see the return of Uzi, who is widely considered the greatest ADC in the game’s history. After taking a break in 2022 due to health issues, Uzi made a comeback on June 14 with EDward Gaming in the LPL Summer Split. In his first match against Invictus Gaming, Uzi showcased his skills and led his team to victory.

The sudden return of Uzi comes on the heels of recent scandals involving Hu “Leave” Hongchao, who had just won the Rookie of the Split award in the Spring. With Uzi’s presence, EDG has an opportunity to improve their image both in and out of the game.

Uzi’s return in the third week of the LPL Summer Split resulted in EDG’s second win of the competition, defeating IG 2-1. While EDG is currently ranked lower in the regular season, Uzi’s comeback has the potential to elevate the team. In the first game of the series, Uzi’s Aphelios, accompanied by Meiko’s Yuumi, dealt the highest damage with 44 percent of the share.

Uzi’s individual skills and mental resilience were on full display against IG. Despite IG’s efforts to focus on Uzi, they often overlooked the other players on EDG.

In the second game of the series, IG fought back and secured a win by winning a crucial team fight in the late stage. Uzi picked Lucian, and with the support of Meiko’s Milio, they dealt heavy damage from the start. However, EDG’s top laner Ale stood out with his performance on Sion, surpassing Uzi’s damage in the last game.

Uzi’s return marks a turning point for EDG as they can now rely on his experience and skills to lead the team. However, Uzi’s journey back to the top is just beginning, as he prepares to face off against Gala in the upcoming match against LNG Esports on June 17.
