Carzzy on Team Vitality: ‘Our compatible personalities and positive mindsets set us up for success’

Team Vitality Secures First Wins in LEC Spring Split

Last weekend, Team Vitality made an impressive showing in the 2022 LEC Spring Split, clinching victories against Team BDS and G2 Esports. As a result, they have climbed up to the sixth spot in the standings.

The team’s new roster for League of Legends, often referred to as a superteam, has garnered high expectations. This is due to their players, who have already proven themselves on the big stage. One such player is Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság.

In an interview with Korizon’s Ashley Kang on Jan. 25, Carzzy shared his thoughts on the new squad and his goals for 2022.

Carzzy is open about his admiration for his new support, Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis. He describes Labrov as a fun person with a great personality and considers him a good friend.

Even before joining Vitality, Carzzy already regarded Labrov as a highly skilled player with immense potential. Playing with him in the LEC was a goal for Carzzy.

While Carzzy acknowledges that players like Barney “Alphari” Morris and Luka “Perkz” Perković are renowned names in the LEC, he doesn’t believe there are too many vocal players in the team. He emphasizes that the outside perspective might be misleading.

According to Carzzy, the team has a perfect fit due to the great atmosphere and collaboration among the players. They all have a positive mindset when it comes to scrim ethics and performing on stage.

Carzzy commends Alphari’s intelligence and performance, especially when facing other top laners. However, if the team wants to meet their high expectations this season, Carzzy acknowledges that they will need all the help they can get.

Carzzy has set his sights on winning the LEC, as well as making it to MSI and Worlds. He believes these goals are perfectly reasonable.

Vitality’s next match against SK Gaming is scheduled for this Friday at 1pm CT.
