Giants Gaming implements significant roster changes amidst a disappointing season

Giants Gaming Makes Roster Changes in Bid to Turn Season Around

After a disappointing season with only two wins, Giants Gaming has decided to make some changes to their starting lineup in an effort to salvage their spot in the LCS.

Giants currently find themselves at the bottom of the European League Championship Series and have only four games remaining to turn things around.

The team has released Peter “Atom” Thomsen, Joachim “Betongjocke” Rasmussen, and Adrián “Adryh” Pérez. Thomsen and Rasmussen, who were new to the LCS, joined Giants in January as part of a strategy to mix experience and youth.

Pérez, who had been with the Giants since 2014, was referred to as a “legend” of the team in their statement.

To fill out their roster, Giants has brought in three players with top-level experience: Lennart “Smittyj” Warkus, Tae-Wan “Wisdom” Kim, and Seung Ik “S0NSTAR” Son.

Warkus had a difficult season, starting the year with Team Dignitas in the North American LCS but was dropped after a week due to disciplinary issues. However, Giants has expressed confidence in him.

Kim and Son will be joining Giants from Korea, bringing experience from Tigers and Incredible Miracle, respectively.

With only four games left and a two-win gap behind the seventh-place team, Giants face an uphill battle. Their remaining fixtures include matches against Fnatic, G2 Esports, Origen, and Roccat.
