Tentative PBE Release Date Announced for League of Legends’ Upcoming Champion

Riot Games Reveals Details About Upcoming League of Legends Champion Naafiri

Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, recently announced that two new champions would be joining the game this year. One of them is Naafiri, a Darkin assassin. In a Q&A video, executive producer Jeremy “Brightmoon” Lee and studio head Andrei “Meddler” van Roon shared more details about the upcoming champion.

Release Date and Testing

According to Meddler, Naafiri will be available for testing later this month, around the end of June. Although specific dates haven’t been announced yet, more information will be revealed in the coming weeks as the release date approaches.

About Naafiri

Naafiri is a hunter from Shurima who utilizes her Darkin assassin abilities to track down her enemies. Teasers and insights from Meddler suggest that she has a “dog” theme. She is designed to be played in the mid lane and wields a dagger for burst damage. Naafiri is also built with macro plays in mind, making her accessible for players with less game knowledge.

Exciting Changes in Gameplay

Lead champion producer Alexia Gao stated, “We hope to lower the burden of execution and allow players to focus more on macro plays with Naafiri. The changes to assassin gameplay brought by Naafiri include new technology that enhances the thematic experience and makes the gameplay feel more dynamic and streamlined.”

Stay tuned for the release of Naafiri on the PBE later this month!
