Day 1, Week 8 of the EU LCS Recap

Today was a thrilling day of matches in the European League Championship Series (EU LCS). Splyce overtook Fnatic in the standings, while G2 Esports dominated Unicorns of Love. Let’s break down the action:

Splyce 2-0 Fnatic

In game 1, Splyce turned the tables on Fnatic with a clutch teamfight led by top laner Martin “Wunder” Hansen and mid laner Chres “Sencux” Laursen. This gave Splyce the advantage they needed to secure a Baron, Dragon, and ultimately, Fnatic’s nexus.

The second game was a straightforward victory for Splyce. Fnatic only managed to take two towers and a kill, while Splyce dominated with 11 towers and seven kills.

H2K 2-0 Team Vitality

H2K showed their strength in the first match, starting off slow but then forcing many teamfights and claiming multiple objectives. Support player Oskar “VandeR” Bogdan had an outstanding performance with 13 assists as Karma.

The second match followed a similar pattern, with H2K securing another victory after more teamfight victories. Mid laner Yoo “Ryu” Sang-ook stood out with an impressive 8/3/4 scoreline as Cassiopeia.

Giants Gaming 2-0 Origen

The first match was dominated by Giants Gaming. Origen started off strong with good rotations, but Giants quickly turned the tides with top laner Lennart “Smittyj” Warkus taking control of Fiora. Despite Origen’s efforts, Giants secured their victory.

The second game mirrored the first, with Origen falling victim to Smittyj’s Fiora once again. Giants took a commanding lead at 28 minutes and secured the win.

G2 Esports 2-0 Unicorns of Love

G2 Esports asserted their dominance in the first game, with jungler Kim “Trick” Gang-yun not allowing Unicorns of Love to gain any advantage. G2 secured a decisive victory over the reigning champions.

The second game was no different, with G2 completely dominating Unicorns of Love. Mid laner Luka “Perkz” Perković was the star of the show with a remarkable scoreline of 10/2/7 as Kassadin.
