Vitality’s ADC, Carzzy, Allowed to Explore Options for 2023 LEC Season

Team Vitality’s Carzzy Explores Options for 2023 League of Legends Season

Carzzy, the starting AD carry for Team Vitality, has announced on social media that he has been given the opportunity to explore his options for the upcoming 2023 professional League of Legends season.

A Promising Start That Fell Short

Vitality signed Carzzy last year as a crucial addition to their potential LEC “superteam.” The roster, which included seasoned players in every role like Alphari and Perkz, was expected to dominate the LEC and represent Europe in the World Championship. However, those aspirations didn’t materialize.

Disappointing Performance and a Chance for Change

Unfortunately, Vitality failed to make it to the LEC playoffs during the Summer Split, effectively ending their journey to Worlds. Carzzy also experienced a slump in his performance this season, with declining stats across various categories compared to his previous year’s performance, according to League stats site Games of Legends.

A Fresh Start for Vitality

Not only Carzzy, but other members of Team Vitality such as Labrov, Haru, and Selfmade have been granted permission to explore opportunities with other teams for the 2023 season. As a result, it is expected that Vitality will have a significantly revamped roster next season.

Although the entire starting lineup of Vitality is currently under contract at least until next season, there is a possibility that players, including Carzzy, may have their contracts bought out by other organizations in the offseason. The official free agency period for the 2022-23 season is scheduled to start on November 21.
