TNC Predator defeated Team Liquid with a 2-0 victory, securing an upper bracket spot for The International 2019 main event.

The first game was intense as both teams made mistakes. Liquid started strong, but TNC’s Skywrath Mage silenced Miracle’s Storm Spirit, causing him to fall behind in net worth. With each fight that Miracle died, TNC gained an advantage. Once Gabbi farmed a Radiance on Lifestealer, TNC took multiple objectives with the help of Chen and secured mega creeps. Despite Liquid’s Drow Ranger’s aura damage, they managed to hold on, but TNC eventually won after 70 minutes of gameplay.

In the second game, TNC dominated Liquid, accumulating 47 kills in just 36 minutes. Tims showcased his skills as a position four player, outplaying Liquid consistently. Heen, TNC’s new coach and former coach of Liquid, brought stability and experience to the team.

TNC’s advancement in the tournament guarantees a better result than their performance at TI8. The Filipinos will finish at least 9th to 12th and secure over $600,000 in prize money. On the other hand, Liquid will start in the lower bracket and will need to regain their winning mindset quickly.

TNC has proved themselves against top-tier teams like Team Secret and PSG.LGD, giving them confidence as they aim to become the first Southeast Asian team to win The International.
