RNG prevails over EDG in thrilling 5-game semifinal showdown, advances to 2021 LPL Spring Split finals against FPX

High Stakes in the LPL Spring Split Playoffs: RNG vs. EDG

In the playoffs of any sport, when the top two seeds face off, the stakes are always high. The 2021 LPL Spring Split playoffs saw RNG and EDG, the two fiercest competitors of the split, raise the stakes even higher.

In a highly competitive match, RNG emerged victorious with a 3-2 scoreline. This victory is a testament to the intense competition between these two teams throughout the season. What’s even more remarkable is that this clash between the LPL’s top two teams occurred just before the grand finals.

FPX Awaits RNG in the Final

Although RNG overcame a huge obstacle in their victory against EDG, they now face a formidable opponent in FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) in the final. With only five days to prepare, RNG must navigate through the challenges of the LPL to secure a spot in this year’s Mid-Season Invitational in Reykjavík, Iceland.

To stand a chance against FPX, Xiaohu, a key player for RNG, must deliver another outstanding performance. Xiaohu showcased exceptional skill throughout the five-game set against EDG, boasting a scoreline of 21/11/38 and an impressive KDA of 5.36.

However, Xiaohu’s skills will be put to the ultimate test as he goes up against Nuguri, considered the best top laner in the world. FPX has been in top form during the playoffs, with Nuguri playing a crucial role in their 12 wins. To secure victory in the grand finals, RNG will need Xiaohu to perform at an elite level.

The 2021 LPL Spring Split finals are scheduled for April 18 at 5am CT.
