Fnatic leads in team deaths during the 2020 LEC Summer Split

The Challenges Ahead for Fnatic in the LEC Summer Split

Fnatic’s journey to the playoffs in the LEC Summer Split has been far from easy. The team is currently tied for fifth place in the regular season standings and holds the unfortunate title of having the most deaths in the league.

As of week four, Fnatic has a total of 121 deaths as a team, three more than FC Schalke 04 who currently sit at the bottom of the standings with a 1-8 record. This should raise concerns among LEC fans, as Fnatic is typically seen as a top contender in the European League of Legends scene.

Top laner Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau and support Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov have contributed the most to Fnatic’s death count this season, with 35 and 40 deaths respectively. This lack of performance from key players, combined with overall inconsistency from the team, has left fans skeptical.

Over the past three weeks, Fnatic has only managed to win one game and even suffered a loss against FC Schalke 04. This defeat was particularly surprising considering Schalke’s struggles throughout the split. Thankfully, the LEC went on a two-week break, giving Fnatic the chance to regroup and recharge for the remainder of the season.

Upcoming Challenges for Fnatic

In week five, Fnatic will face Team Vitality and Misfits Gaming, both of whom are coming off impressive upset victories. Vitality recently defeated Origen, while Misfits emerged victorious against MAD Lions.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see Fnatic in action when the 2020 LEC Summer Split returns on Friday, July 17.
