Larssen’s Confidence in Rogue’s Ability to Secure First Place in Worlds 2022 Group

Rogue’s Expectations for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship

The best teams in the world are preparing for the group stage of the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.

In an interview with Blix, LEC champion mid laner Emil “Larssen” Larsson shared his thoughts on Rogue’s expectations for the tournament. To secure first place in Group C, Larssen believes that the team will need to perform at their highest level to beat the LPL’s Top Esports.

“It’s going to be challenging, but I have confidence in our ability to succeed,” Larssen stated.

Larssen also highlighted that Rogue is closely focused on the LPL’s No. 2 seed and perceives GAM Esport as the “big X factor” of the group. “They could be strong or weak, but I predict that they will be a formidable team that we shouldn’t underestimate,” he explained.

Speaking about his first European title with Rogue and the team’s preparation for Worlds, Larssen acknowledged the unpredictability of matches between Western and Asian teams. Due to limited opportunities for scrims between regions, the outcomes of these clashes are uncertain.

This is because teams from different regions arrived in North America for the event later than usual, unlike previous years. “It’s not ideal… I don’t think it will have a significant impact, but it will matter to some extent,” Larssen added.

Rogue’s first series at Worlds 2022 will be against the team that qualifies from Play-Ins on Saturday, Oct. 10. In the meantime, they have more than a week to practice and fine-tune their skills in Champions Queue.
