G2 and Splyce Secure Spots in European LCS Finals
The finals of the European LCS will feature the top two finishers from the regular season: Splyce and G2 Esports.
G2 Esports fought against the fan favorites, Unicorns of Love, in a back-and-forth series. The first three games consisted of continuous teamfights, making it hard to determine the winner. G2 ended up winning the series 3-1, pushing them to match-point.
However, the fourth game was a complete domination by G2. With both Trick and Expect ganking Vizicsacsi multiple times in the first ten minutes, G2 established a massive lead. Zven snowballed out of control on Tristana and by 25 minutes, he could challenge any player on the opposing team.
With such a poor early game, Unicorns of Love couldn’t do much to stop G2 as they pushed into Unicorn’s base. G2 will now be competing in their second consecutive EU LCS grand finals.
G2 to Face Splyce in European LCS Finals
G2 will face Splyce on Aug. 28 in Krakow, Poland. This match will determine which teams will represent Europe at the League World Championship in September.
