Excel Esports announces the signing of Kasing as their inaugural LEC player

Raymond “Kasing” Tsang Joins Excel Esports as Captain

Raymond “Kasing” Tsang, a popular EU LCS support player, has found a new home with Excel Esports. In an announcement on the team’s Twitter account, it was revealed that Kasing will be the captain for the upcoming split.

Kasing has had an impressive career in the region, playing for top teams like H2k, Vitality, and, most recently, Splyce. His wealth of experience makes him well-suited for the captain’s role. In a YouTube video accompanying the announcement, Kasing mentioned that his new team has “good potential,” suggesting that he may be paired with a younger squad and tasked with teaching them how to play League.

However, prior to joining Splyce, it had been a while since European fans had seen Kasing compete at the highest level. Although his performances on Splyce were decent, the team as a whole struggled to make significant progress despite having talented players.

It will be intriguing to see how Kasing performs with a brand new roster and team. His experience in the European challenger scene, fighting his way up from the bottom, may be why Excel chose him for this role.

In his announcement video, Kasing expressed optimism about the team’s potential, stating, “Even though we’re a new team, we can still make it to top six or top four. With the right mindset and mentality, we can reach higher places.”

We will have to wait until the start of the LEC in January to see how far Excel can climb in the ranking.
