League of Legends player’s Nami unleashes Tidal Wave to foil enemies’ blast cone plan

Nami’s Tidal Wave ability in League of Legends is one of the most powerful and disruptive in the game. It can be used both defensively and offensively, making it a valuable tool for supports. Recently, a Nami player showcased an incredible play on Reddit, where they used Tidal Wave to knock up four enemy players at once and save their team from potential disaster near a neutral objective.

In the clip, the Nami player was helping their team secure a Mountain Drake when four enemy players approached from behind the Dragon pit. As the opponents gathered on top of the blast cone near the rear entrance, the Nami player unleashed Tidal Wave, causing all four enemies to be caught in mid-air. This stopped their advance and forced them to stay on the other side of the Dragon pit.

The Nami player’s timing was impeccable. By casting their ultimate just before the blast cone was triggered, all four enemy players remained grounded. Though one opponent, a Talon player, managed to jump over the Dragon pit wall using Assassin’s Path, they were quickly dealt with by Nami and their teammate, a Shyvana player who had already secured the Dragon.

After claiming the neutral objective, the Nami player and their team capitalized on the failed engagement by the enemy team, seeking additional kills in the aftermath of the skirmish. According to the original Reddit poster, this was the first time the Nami player had ever experienced such a remarkable play, despite having mained the champion since her release in 2012.

This play highlights the potency of Nami’s Tidal Wave ability and demonstrates the impact a well-timed ultimate can have in turning the tide of a game. It’s a testament to the skill and game knowledge of the Nami player, as well as the strategic possibilities that exist within League of Legends.
