100 Thieves Defeat XSET in VALORANT Champions Tour North America Last Chance Qualifier

In an intense best-of-three series, 100 Thieves emerged victorious over XSET, securing their spot in the upper finals of the VALORANT Champions Tour North America Last Chance Qualifier. The match was a nail-biter, with both teams putting up a tough fight.

Strong Performance by XSET in the First Map

The series started on the map Split, where XSET took an early lead with a 13-9 win. Zekken was the star player for XSET, racking up an impressive 27 kills. Though 100 Thieves managed to win the pistol round, XSET took control and dominated the first half, finishing with a 7-5 score.

100 Thieves Bounce Back on Breeze

The second map, Breeze, was dominated by 100 Thieves. They secured an early lead, winning the first four rounds. Asuna’s incredible clutch performance in round five almost sealed the round for 100 Thieves, despite having only one HP. XSET managed to win six rounds in the second half, but 100 Thieves maintained their dominance and won the map 13-8.

Final Battle on Ascent

The series came down to a decisive game three on Ascent. The match was closely contested, with both teams trading rounds. Hiko’s impressive play in round four, securing two kills with the Classic’s right-click, helped 100 Thieves gain the upper hand. The first half ended in a tie, with both teams winning six rounds. However, 100 Thieves pulled ahead in the second half, winning three consecutive rounds and ultimately securing a 13-9 victory.

With this win, 100 Thieves will move on to the upper finals and face the winner of tomorrow’s upper semifinals match. XSET will have a chance to fight their way through the lower bracket in the second round on Friday.
